'All the days of the vow of his separation no razor shall come upon his head; until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to the LORD, he shall be holy. [Then] he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

'All the days that he separates himself to the LORD he shall not go near a dead body.

"For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who [are] upon the face of the earth."

'And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD [am] holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated to the gospel of God

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among [them.] I will be their God, And they shall be My people."

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called [me] through His grace,

who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the LORD, according to your valuation,

"For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines."

"Therefore I also have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD." So they worshiped the LORD there.

I raised up some of your sons as prophets, And some of your young men as Nazirites. [Is it] not so, O you children of Israel?" Says the LORD.

"But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, And commanded the prophets saying, 'Do not prophesy!'

"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.

"Therefore do what we tell you: We have four men who have taken a vow.

"Take them and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave [their] heads, and that all may know that those things of which they were informed concerning you are nothing, but [that] you yourself also walk orderly and keep the law.
