"And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the tabernacle.

"This [is] the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and carrying:

"the screen for the door of the gate of the court, the hangings of the court which [are] around the tabernacle and altar, and their cords, all the furnishings for their service and all that is made for these things: so shall they serve.

"This [is] the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of meeting. And their duties [shall be] under the authority of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

Two carts and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service;

Then the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set out, carrying the tabernacle.

Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

Until then [they had been] gatekeepers for the camps of the children of Levi at the King's Gate on the east.

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar had been the officer over them in time past; the LORD [was] with him.

All those chosen as gatekeepers [were] two hundred and twelve. They were recorded by their genealogy, in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their trusted office.

The gatekeepers were assigned to the four directions: the east, west, north, and south.

For in this trusted office [were] four chief gatekeepers; they were Levites. And they had charge over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

Now [some] of them were in charge of the serving vessels, for they brought them in and took them out by count.

And [some] of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.

And some of their brethren of the sons of the Kohathites [were] in charge of preparing the showbread for every Sabbath.

and that they should attend to the needs of the tabernacle of meeting, the needs of the holy [place,] and the needs of the sons of Aaron their brethren in the work of the house of the LORD.

The sons of Laadan, the descendants of the Gershonites of Laadan, heads of their fathers' [houses,] of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

The sons of Jehieli, Zetham and Joel his brother, [were] over the treasuries of the house of the LORD.

And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites according to their divisions, each man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and peace offerings, to serve, to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of the LORD.

Now Hezekiah commanded [them] to prepare rooms in the house of the LORD, and they prepared them.

Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah [were] overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

And under him [were] Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, [his] faithful assistants in the cities of the priests, to distribute allotments to their brethren by divisions, to the great as well as the small.

and to the priests who were written in the genealogy according to their father's house, and to the Levites from twenty years old and up according to their work, by their divisions,

And I said to them, "You [are] holy to the LORD; the articles [are] holy also; and the silver and the gold [are] a freewill offering to the LORD God of your fathers.

So the priests and the Levites received the silver and the gold and the articles by weight, to bring [them] to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

"[It is] like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, [let us use them:] if prophecy, [let us prophesy] in proportion to our faith;

he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

And say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it."

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

"According to all that I show you, [that is,] the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make [it.]

"Moreover you shall make the tabernacle [with] ten curtains [of] fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet [thread;] with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them.

"Five curtains shall be coupled to one another, and [the other] five curtains [shall be] coupled to one another.

"Fifty loops you shall make in the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that [is] on the end of the second set, that the loops may be clasped to one another.

" You shall also make curtains of goats' [hair,] to be a tent over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.

"And you shall couple five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves, and you shall double over the sixth curtain at the forefront of the tent.

"And you shall make fifty bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.

"And a cubit on one side and a cubit on the other side, of what remains of the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and on that side, to cover it.

Then all the gifted artisans among them who worked on the tabernacle made ten curtains woven of fine linen, and of blue, purple, and scarlet [thread; with] artistic designs of cherubim they made them.

And he coupled five curtains to one another, and [the other] five curtains he coupled to one another.

Fifty loops he made on one curtain, and fifty loops he made on the edge of the curtain on the end of the second set; the loops held one [curtain] to another.

He made curtains of goats' [hair] for the tent over the tabernacle; he made eleven curtains.

He coupled five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.

He also made fifty bronze clasps to couple the tent together, that it might be one.

And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

" You shall make a screen for the door of the tabernacle, [woven of] blue, purple, and scarlet [thread,] and fine woven linen, made by a weaver.

"And you shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia [wood,] and overlay them with gold; their hooks [shall be of] gold, and you shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.

He also made a screen for the tabernacle door, of blue, purple, and scarlet [thread,] and fine woven linen, made by a weaver,

and its five pillars with their hooks. And he overlaid their capitals and their rings with gold, but their five sockets [were] bronze.

He hung up the screen [at] the door of the tabernacle.
