" Now this [is] what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs of the first year, day by day continually.

"One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight.

"Command Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This [is] the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering [shall be] on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.

"You shall daily make a burnt offering to the LORD [of] a lamb of the first year without blemish; you shall prepare it every morning.

"Thus they shall prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil, [as] a regular burnt offering every morning."

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and [another] holy one said to that certain [one] who was speaking, "How long [will] the vision [be, concerning] the daily [sacrifices] and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under foot?"

"And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily [sacrifices,] and place [there] the abomination of desolation.

"And from the time [that] the daily [sacrifice] is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, [there shall be] one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
