Then Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, "Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; With the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself.

There are many plans in a man's heart, Nevertheless the LORD's counsel -- that will stand.

Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;

Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times [things] that are not [yet] done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'

" Stand now with your enchantments And the multitude of your sorceries, In which you have labored from your youth -- Perhaps you will be able to profit, Perhaps you will prevail.

Then the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, "Go back to Balak, and thus you shall speak."

So Balaam answered and said to Balak, "Did I not tell you, saying, 'All that the LORD speaks, that I must do'?"

'If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the LORD, to do good or bad of my own will. What the LORD says, that I must speak'?

And Micaiah said, "[As] the LORD lives, whatever the LORD says to me, that I will speak."

And Micaiah said, "[As] the LORD lives, whatever my God says, that I will speak."
