"Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they [are] our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD [is] with us. Do not fear them."

"And the LORD said to me, 'Do not fear him, for I have delivered him and all his people and his land into your hand; you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.'

"For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants. Indeed his bedstead [was] an iron bedstead. ([Is] it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits [is] its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit.

And the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you."

"And He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; no one shall be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them.

"Then you shall rise from the ambush and seize the city, for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand.

And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD, and said, "If You will indeed deliver the people of Ammon into my hands,

Then David inquired of the LORD once again. And the LORD answered him and said, "Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand."

Then Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the people of Ammon; for the border of the people of Ammon [was] fortified.

He defeated many nations And slew mighty kings --

Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan --

Then Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword, and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as the people of Ammon; for the border of the people of Ammon [was] fortified.

So Israel took all these cities, and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon and in all its villages.
