And the LORD spoke to Aaron: "Here, I Myself have also given you charge of My heave offerings, all the holy gifts of the children of Israel; I have given them as a portion to you and your sons, as an ordinance forever.

"This also [is] yours: the heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel; I have given them to you, and your sons and daughters with you, as an ordinance forever. Everyone who is clean in your house may eat it.

'then it will be, when you eat of the bread of the land, that you shall offer up a heave offering to the LORD.

'Of the first of your ground meal you shall give to the LORD a heave offering throughout your generations.

"take [it] from their half, and give [it] to Eleazar the priest as a heave offering to the LORD.

So Moses gave the tribute [which was] the LORD's heave offering to Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

'And from it he shall offer one cake from each offering [as] a heave offering to the LORD. It shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.

"There you shall take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, your vowed offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.

Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.

'And every offering of your grain offering you shall season with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.

"Should you not know that the LORD God of Israel gave the dominion over Israel to David forever, to him and his sons, by a covenant of salt?
