And the LORD spoke to Aaron: "Here, I Myself have also given you charge of My heave offerings, all the holy gifts of the children of Israel; I have given them as a portion to you and your sons, as an ordinance forever.

"And from the ram of the consecration you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the heave offering which is raised, of [that] which [is] for Aaron and of [that] which is for his sons.

"It shall be from the children of Israel [for] Aaron and his sons by a statute forever. For it is a heave offering; it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, [that is,] their heave offering to the LORD.

'And from it he shall offer one cake from each offering [as] a heave offering to the LORD. It shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.

'His own hands shall bring the offerings made by fire to the LORD. The fat with the breast he shall bring, that the breast may be waved [as] a wave offering before the LORD.

'Also the right thigh you shall give to the priest [as] a heave offering from the sacrifices of your peace offerings.

'For the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering I have taken from the children of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons from the children of Israel by a statute forever.' "

"The breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering you shall eat in a clean place, you, your sons, and your daughters with you; for [they are] your due and your sons' due, [which] are given from the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

" And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether [it is] bull or sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach.

"Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name [by] what they dedicate to Me: I [am] the LORD.

"Say to them: 'Whoever of all your descendants throughout your generations, who goes near the holy things which the children of Israel dedicate to the LORD, while he has uncleanness upon him, that person shall be cut off from My presence: I [am] the LORD.

'But if the priest buys a person with his money, he may eat it; and one who is born in his house may eat his food.

'But if the priest's daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her father's house as in her youth, she may eat her father's food; but no outsider shall eat it.
