Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech, [That] I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

So I said: "Woe [is] me, for I am undone! Because I [am] a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts."

From the ends of the earth we have heard songs: "Glory to the righteous!" But I said, "I am ruined, ruined! Woe to me! The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously, Indeed, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously."

"For I have heard a voice as of a woman in labor, The anguish as of her who brings forth her first child, The voice of the daughter of Zion bewailing herself; She spreads her hands, [saying,] 'Woe [is] me now, for my soul is weary Because of murderers!'

Woe is me, my mother, That you have borne me, A man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent for interest, Nor have men lent to me for interest. Every one of them curses me.

'You said, "Woe is me now! For the LORD has added grief to my sorrow. I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest." '

Yet gleaning grapes will be left in it, Like the shaking of an olive tree, Two [or] three olives at the top of the uppermost bough, Four [or] five in its most fruitful branches," Says the LORD God of Israel.

When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people, [It shall be] like the shaking of an olive tree, Like the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done.

And the glorious beauty is a fading flower Which [is] at the head of the verdant valley, Like the first fruit before the summer, Which an observer sees; He eats it up while it is still in his hand.

" I found Israel Like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers As the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season. [But] they went to Baal Peor, And separated themselves [to that] shame; They became an abomination like the thing they loved.
