Then God said to Jonah, "[Is it] right for you to be angry about the plant?" And he said, "[It is] right for me to be angry, even to death!"

'Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?'

Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw [this,] he spoke to himself, saying, "This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman [this is] who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."

Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
