And Aaron said to Moses, "Look, this day they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD, and such things have befallen me! [If] I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?"

'And if it is eaten at all on the third day, it [is] an abomination. It shall not be accepted.

'Therefore [everyone] who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the hallowed [offering] of the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from his people.

'Either a bull or a lamb that has any limb too long or too short you may offer [as] a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

'Nor from a foreigner's hand shall you offer any of these as the bread of your God, because their corruption [is] in them, [and] defects [are] in them. They shall not be accepted on your behalf.' "

Thus says the LORD to this people: "Thus they have loved to wander; They have not restrained their feet. Therefore the LORD does not accept them; He will remember their iniquity now, And punish their sins."

"When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence."

[For] the sacrifices of My offerings they sacrifice flesh and eat [it,] [But] the LORD does not accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.

Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept [them,] Nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings.

"Who [is there] even among you who would shut the doors, So that you would not kindle fire [on] My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you," Says the LORD of hosts, "Nor will I accept an offering from your hands.

You also say, 'Oh, what a weariness!' And you sneer at it," Says the LORD of hosts. "And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick; Thus you bring an offering! Should I accept this from your hand?" Says the LORD.

'And your heave offering shall be reckoned to you as though [it were] the grain of the threshing floor and as the fullness of the winepress.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had while still] uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,

'But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which [is] in the water, they [are] an abomination to you.

'They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination.

' And every creeping thing that creeps on the earth [shall be] an abomination. It shall not be eaten.

"To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?" Says the LORD. "I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.

Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies -- I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.

Who sit among the graves, And spend the night in the tombs; Who eat swine's flesh, And the broth of abominable things is [in] their vessels;

" He who kills a bull [is as if] he slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb, [as if] he breaks a dog's neck; He who offers a grain offering, [as if he offers] swine's blood; He who burns incense, [as if] he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations,

And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

" If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD, though he does not know [it,] yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.

"Why have you not eaten the sin offering in a holy place, since it [is] most holy, and [God] has given it to you to bear the guilt of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

"But if he does not wash [them] or bathe his body, then he shall bear his guilt."

'And if it is eaten at all on the third day, it [is] an abomination. It shall not be accepted.

'Therefore [everyone] who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the hallowed [offering] of the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from his people.

'If a man takes his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it [is] a wicked thing. And they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister's nakedness. He shall bear his guilt.

'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister nor of your father's sister, for that would uncover his near of kin. They shall bear their guilt.

'or allow them to bear the guilt of trespass when they eat their holy [offerings;] for I the LORD sanctify them.' "

He shall see the labor of His soul, [and] be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by whose stripes you were healed.
