"Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be a memorial for you before your God: I [am] the LORD your God."

Blessed [are] the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance.

"Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;

"and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: "Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world."

in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

For He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.

'And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout [all] the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

'For it [is] the Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field.

'If he dedicates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.

'In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to the one who [owned] the land as a possession.

"And when the Jubilee of the children of Israel comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry; so their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers."

" And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy [Place,] the tabernacle of meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat.

"For on that day [the priest] shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, [that] you may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

"Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first [day] of the month, you shall have a sabbath-[rest,] a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

"Also the tenth [day] of this seventh month [shall be] the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.
