'Therefore you shall consecrate him, for he offers the bread of your God. He shall be holy to you, for I the LORD, who sanctify you, [am] holy.

And Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the LORD spoke, saying: 'By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.' " So Aaron held his peace.

" You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, [like] the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

"So I will consecrate the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. I will also consecrate both Aaron and his sons to minister to Me as priests.

And I said to them, "You [are] holy to the LORD; the articles [are] holy also; and the silver and the gold [are] a freewill offering to the LORD God of your fathers.

But you [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

'And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through [the fire] to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I [am] the LORD.

'And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I [am] the LORD.

" A son honors [his] father, And a servant [his] master. If then I am the Father, Where [is] My honor? And if I [am] a Master, Where [is] My reverence? Says the LORD of hosts To you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, 'In what way have we despised Your name?'

For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name [shall be] great among the Gentiles; In every place incense [shall be] offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations," Says the LORD of hosts.

"But you profane it, In that you say, 'The table of the LORD is defiled; And its fruit, its food, [is] contemptible.'

'and the priest shall burn [them] on the altar [as] food, an offering made by fire to the LORD.

"When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it -- My house -- and when you offered My food, the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations.

"[You] offer defiled food on My altar. But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the LORD is contemptible.'

Depart! Depart! Go out from there, Touch no unclean [thing;] Go out from the midst of her, Be clean, You who bear the vessels of the LORD.
