" They sow the wind, And reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no bud; It shall never produce meal. If it should produce, Aliens would swallow it up.

Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set [your] heart [on them.]

No king [is] saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

I returned and saw under the sun that -- The race [is] not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.
