And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?"

In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry [entered] His ears.

But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, "You [are] my God."

Do not forsake me, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me!

You [are] my God, and I will praise You; [You are] my God, I will exalt You.

Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and [to] My God and your God.' "

Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] He had spoken these things to her.

Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!

'When we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice and sent the Angel and brought us up out of Egypt; now here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border.

Then the LORD sent an angel who cut down every mighty man of valor, leader, and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned shamefaced to his own land. And when he had gone into the temple of his god, some of his own offspring struck him down with the sword there.

The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

And when Peter had come to himself, he said, "Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and [from] all the expectation of the Jewish people."

"For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve,

Moreover David said, "The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you!"

For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and [that] all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.

He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

I was also blameless before Him, And I kept myself from my iniquity.

I will wash my hands in innocence; So I will go about Your altar, O LORD,

For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good [thing] will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

" Say to the righteous that [it shall be] well [with them,] For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

"This [being] so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.

"For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon."

And David said to Saul: "Why do you listen to the words of men who say, 'Indeed David seeks your harm'?

"Moreover, my father, see! Yes, see the corner of your robe in my hand! For in that I cut off the corner of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that [there is] neither evil nor rebellion in my hand, and I have not sinned against you. Yet you hunt my life to take it.

And he said, "Why does my lord thus pursue his servant? For what have I done, or what evil [is] in my hand?

A Meditation of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning the words of Cush, a Benjamite. O LORD my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me,

O LORD my God, if I have done this: If there is iniquity in my hands,

while he answered for himself, "Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I offended in anything at all."

So Paul said, "I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you very well know.
