If He should set His heart on it, [If] He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,

All flesh would perish together, And man would return to dust.

Yet He is not partial to princes, Nor does He regard the rich more than the poor; For they [are] all the work of His hands.

"For His eyes [are] on the ways of man, And He sees all his steps.

For He need not further consider a man, That he should go before God in judgment.

Behold, the nations [are] as a drop in a bucket, And are counted as the small dust on the scales; Look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing.

All nations before Him [are] as nothing, And they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.

[It is] He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants [are] like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Scarcely shall they be planted, Scarcely shall they be sown, Scarcely shall their stock take root in the earth, When He will also blow on them, And they will wither, And the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.

Then Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, "It [is] the LORD. Let Him do what seems good to Him."

"But He [is] unique, and who can make Him change? And [whatever] His soul desires, [that] He does.

For He spoke, and it was [done;] He commanded, and it stood fast.

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.

But our God [is] in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.

Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.

The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, "Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, [so] it shall stand:

This [is] the purpose that is purposed against the whole earth, And this [is] the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.

Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times [things] that are not [yet] done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'

Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken [it;] I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed [it;] I will also do it.

At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from [the] wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

"Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

"to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

and [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth;

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Hear this, all peoples; Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,

With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For when Your judgments [are] in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

God [is] wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened [himself] against Him and prospered?

God will not withdraw His anger, The allies of the proud lie prostrate beneath Him.

When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? And when He hides [His] face, who then can see Him, Whether [it is] against a nation or a man alone? --

Have you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

Disperse the rage of your wrath; Look on everyone [who is] proud, and humble him.

"I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose [of Yours] can be withheld from You.

[There is] no wisdom or understanding Or counsel against the LORD.

Indeed before the day [was,] I [am] He; And [there is] no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?"

"but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it -- lest you even be found to fight against God."

And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It [is] hard for you to kick against the goads."

"If therefore God gave them the same gift as [He gave] us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?"

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

If He takes away, who can hinder Him? Who can say to Him, 'What are You doing?'

" Look, [in] this you are not righteous. I will answer you, For God is greater than man.

Why do you contend with Him? For He does not give an accounting of any of His words.

"Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct [Him?] He who rebukes God, let him answer it."

" Woe to him who strives with his Maker! [Let] the potsherd [strive] with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it, 'What are you making?' Or shall your handiwork [say,] 'He has no hands'?

Thus says the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.

You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?"

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed [it,] "Why have you made me like this?"

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable [are] His judgments and His ways past finding out!

"Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?"

For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
