So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, "[It is] not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace."

So when Peter saw [it,] he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God [which was] with me.

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,

that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise [men] of Babylon.

Also Daniel petitioned the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego over the affairs of the province of Babylon; but Daniel [sat] in the gate of the king.

For I [am] the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.

For Jacob My servant's sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.

"And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.

"And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to [His] purpose.

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:

And you [are] Christ's, and Christ [is] God's.

For all things [are] for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
