And he said, "Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end [shall be.]

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar. The message [was] true, but the appointed time [was] long; and he understood the message, and had understanding of the vision.

Wail, O gate! Cry, O city! All you of Philistia [are] dissolved; For smoke will come from the north, And no one [will be] alone in his appointed times."

"And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,

but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

"And after the league [is made] with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small [number of] people.

"He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South with a great army. And the king of the South shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand, for they shall devise plans against him.
