'And I will do among you what I have never done, and the like of which I will never do again, because of all your abominations.

"therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Behold, [I] am bringing [such] calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.

'And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as [one] wipes a dish, wiping [it] and turning [it] upside down.

"And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great disaster; for under the whole heaven such has never been done as what has been done to Jerusalem.

"You only have I known of all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities."

What do you conspire against the LORD? He will make an utter end [of it.] Affliction will not rise up a second time.

"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
