You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.

"You shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you.

"so that he will not give any of them the flesh of his children whom he will eat, because he has nothing left in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you at all your gates.

"her placenta which comes out from between her feet and her children whom she bears; for she will eat them secretly for lack of everything in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you at all your gates.

"So we boiled my son, and ate him. And I said to her on the next day, 'Give your son, that we may eat him'; but she has hidden her son."

And he shall snatch on the right hand And be hungry; He shall devour on the left hand And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm.

I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, And they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine. All flesh shall know That I, the LORD, [am] your Savior, And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."

"And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the desperation with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall drive them to despair." '

" See, O LORD, and consider! To whom have You done this? Should the women eat their offspring, The children they have cuddled? Should the priest and prophet be slain In the sanctuary of the Lord?

The hands of the compassionate women Have cooked their own children; They became food for them In the destruction of the daughter of my people.

"You shall burn with fire one-third in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are finished; then you shall take one-third and strike around [it] with the sword, and one-third you shall scatter in the wind: I will draw out a sword after them.

'One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

" Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have [some] who escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the countries.

"I will scatter to every wind all who [are] around him to help him, and all his troops; and I will draw out the sword after them.

"Also I raised My hand in an oath to those in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the Gentiles and disperse them throughout the countries,

"I will scatter you among the nations, disperse you throughout the countries, and remove your filthiness completely from you.

"So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds.

I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.

"And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you.

" Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known -- wood and stone.

I would have said, "I will dash them in pieces, I will make the memory of them to cease from among men,"

"Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, '[If] you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;

You have given us up like sheep [intended] for food, And have scattered us among the nations.

"I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them."

'And I will take the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to dwell there, and they shall all be consumed [and] fall in the land of Egypt. They shall be consumed by the sword [and] by famine. They shall die, from the least to the greatest, by the sword and by famine; and they shall be an oath, an astonishment, a curse and a reproach!

" Israel [is] like scattered sheep; The lions have driven [him] away. First the king of Assyria devoured him; Now at last this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones."

"For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As [grain] is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.

" Up, up! Flee from the land of the north," says the LORD; "for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven," says the LORD.

"But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they had not known. Thus the land became desolate after them, so that no one passed through or returned; for they made the pleasant land desolate."

"And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
