Then David danced before the LORD with all [his] might; and David [was] wearing a linen ephod.

Now as the ark of the LORD came into the City of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

And when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.

Then David said to all the assembly, "Now bless the LORD your God." So all the assembly blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and prostrated themselves before the LORD and the king.

So they ate and drank before the LORD with great gladness on that day. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed [him] before the LORD [to be] the leader, and Zadok [to be] priest.

I have surely built You an exalted house, And a place for You to dwell in forever."

And he said: "Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who has fulfilled with His hands [what] He spoke with His mouth to my father David, saying,

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.

King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat in front of them, to go back to Jerusalem with joy, for the LORD had made them rejoice over their enemies.

So they came to Jerusalem, with stringed instruments and harps and trumpets, to the house of the LORD.

So all the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all [this continued] until the burnt offering was finished.

And when they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed and worshiped.

The king went up to the house of the LORD, with all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem -- the priests and the Levites, and all the people, great and small. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant which had been found in the house of the LORD.

Then the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD, and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.

So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped [them] to understand the reading.

And Nehemiah, who [was] the governor, Ezra the priest [and] scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, "This day [is] holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep." For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

When I remember these [things,] I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

A Song of Ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD."

Jerusalem is built As a city that is compact together,

"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

"teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen.

but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] confession.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
