Each one had four faces: the first face [was] the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

The first living creature [was] like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature [was] like a flying eagle.

" On the south side [shall be] the standard of the forces with Reuben according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Reuben [shall be] Elizur the son of Shedeur."

" Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors.

"Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.

"On the east side, toward the rising of the sun, those of the standard of the forces with Judah shall camp according to their armies; and Nahshon the son of Amminadab [shall be] the leader of the children of Judah."

So the men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down: "What [is] sweeter than honey? And what [is] stronger than a lion?" And he said to them: "If you had not plowed with my heifer, You would not have solved my riddle!"

[Some] Gadites joined David at the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces [were like] the faces of lions, and [were] as swift as gazelles on the mountains:

But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain." Is it oxen God is concerned about?

Or does He say [it] altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, [this] is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.

" The standard of the forces with Dan [shall be] on the north side according to their armies, and the leader of the children of Dan [shall be] Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai."

"The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, [as swift] as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand,

Does the eagle mount up at your command, And make its nest on high?

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew [their] strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

"The first [was] like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
