The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song [shall be] with me -- A prayer to the God of my life.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God [is] a refuge for us. Selah

I remember Your name in the night, O LORD, And I keep Your law.

I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word.

My eyes are awake through the [night] watches, That I may meditate on Your word.

With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For when Your judgments [are] in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

So Gideon and the hundred men who [were] with him came to the outpost of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just as they had posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers that [were] in their hands.

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

"Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming -- in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning --

And Hannah answered and said, "No, my lord, I [am] a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured [it] out before the LORD. And they fasted that day, and said there, "We have sinned against the LORD." And Samuel judged the children of Israel at Mizpah.

For my sighing comes before I eat, And my groanings pour out like water.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God [is] a refuge for us. Selah

I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble.

Hear the voice of my supplications When I cry to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.

Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

Lift up your hands [in] the sanctuary, And bless the LORD.

Let my prayer be set before You [as] incense, The lifting up of my hands [as] the evening sacrifice.

I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

My eyes fail with tears, My heart is troubled; My bile is poured on the ground Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, Because the children and the infants Faint in the streets of the city.

They say to their mothers, "Where [is] grain and wine?" As they swoon like the wounded In the streets of the city, As their life is poured out In their mothers' bosom.

How the gold has become dim! [How] changed the fine gold! The stones of the sanctuary are scattered At the head of every street.

Even the jackals present their breasts To nurse their young; [But] the daughter of my people [is] cruel, Like ostriches in the wilderness.

Those who ate delicacies Are desolate in the streets; Those who were brought up in scarlet Embrace ash heaps.

Her Nazirites were brighter than snow And whiter than milk; They were more ruddy in body than rubies, [Like] sapphire in their appearance.

[Those] slain by the sword are better off Than [those] who die of hunger; For these pine away, Stricken [for lack] of the fruits of the field.

Your sons have fainted, They lie at the head of all the streets, Like an antelope in a net; They are full of the fury of the LORD, The rebuke of your God.

'Therefore fathers shall eat [their] sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments among you, and all of you who remain I will scatter to all the winds.

'When I send against them the terrible arrows of famine which shall be for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, I will increase the famine upon you and cut off your supply of bread.

Yet she [was] carried away, She went into captivity; Her young children also were dashed to pieces At the head of every street; They cast lots for her honorable men, And all her great men were bound in chains.
