For thus says the LORD: "Behold, those whose judgment [was] not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunk. And [are] you the one who will altogether go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, but you shall surely drink [of it.]

If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner.

"Utterly slay old [and] young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom [is] the mark; and begin at My sanctuary." So they began with the elders who [were] before the temple.

"I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains," says the Lord GOD. "Every man's sword will be against his brother.

For as you drank on my holy mountain, [So] shall all the nations drink continually; Yes, they shall drink, and swallow, And they shall be as though they had never been.

"For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?"

For the time [has come] for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if [it begins] with us first, what will [be] the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

"hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as [do] Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name.

"O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.

"O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name."

For I [am] with you,' says the LORD, 'to save you; Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice, And will not let you go altogether unpunished.'

Do not fear, O Jacob My servant," says the LORD, "For I [am] with you; For I will make a complete end of all the nations To which I have driven you, But I will not make a complete end of you. I will rightly correct you, For I will not leave you wholly unpunished."

[Though they join] forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.

He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker; He who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.

" Or [if] I bring a sword on that land, and say, 'Sword, go through the land,' and I cut off man and beast from it,

For thus says the Lord GOD: "How much more it shall be when I send My four severe judgments on Jerusalem -- the sword and famine and wild beasts and pestilence -- to cut off man and beast from it?

"I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains," says the Lord GOD. "Every man's sword will be against his brother.

" Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion," Says the LORD of hosts. "Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.
