Say to the king and to the queen mother, "Humble yourselves; Sit down, For your rule shall collapse, the crown of your glory."

"and say to them, 'Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates.

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

So the nations shall fear the name of the LORD, And all the kings of the earth Your glory.

The Lord [is] at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.

"You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." '

Then the LORD said to Samuel: "Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.

Then the man said to Eli, "I [am] he who came from the battle. And I fled today from the battle line." And he said, "What happened, my son?"

Then it happened, when he made mention of the ark of God, that Eli fell off the seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.

"therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Behold, [I] am bringing [such] calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.

'And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as [one] wipes a dish, wiping [it] and turning [it] upside down.

As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report."
