Why should you be stricken again? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, And the whole heart faints.

Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies -- I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.

The LORD also spoke to me again, saying:

And it shall come to pass in that day [That] the remnant of Israel, And such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, Will never again depend on him who defeated them, But will depend on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

Now they sin more and more, And have made for themselves molded images, Idols of their silver, according to their skill; All of it [is] the work of craftsmen. They say of them, "Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!"
