'Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, just as You swore to our fathers, "a land flowing with milk and honey." '

From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth;

Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine

For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the LORD viewed the earth,

To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death,

Till the LORD from heaven Looks down and sees.

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name [is] Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy [place,] With him [who] has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Thus says the LORD: "Heaven [is] My throne, And earth [is] My footstool. Where [is] the house that you will build Me? And where [is] the place of My rest?

"But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

Then the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard; and their prayer came [up] to His holy dwelling place, to heaven.

Who [is] like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high,

Who humbles Himself to behold [The things that are] in the heavens and in the earth?

A Song of Ascents. Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD! Awake as in the ancient days, In the generations of old. [Are] You not [the arm] that cut Rahab apart, [And] wounded the serpent?

[Are] You not [the One] who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over?

Lord, where [are] Your former lovingkindnesses, [Which] You swore to David in Your truth?

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

"Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they [are] from of old.

[Is] Ephraim My dear son? [Is he] a pleasant child? For though I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says the LORD.

" How can I give you up, Ephraim? [How] can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? [How] can I set you like Zeboiim? My heart churns within Me; My sympathy is stirred.

Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;

Therefore if [there is] any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,

But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?

Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah
