Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, Declare, proclaim this, Utter it to the end of the earth; Say, "The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob!"

" Move from the midst of Babylon, Go out of the land of the Chaldeans; And be like the rams before the flocks.

Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this [is] the time of the LORD's vengeance; He shall recompense her.

" My people, go out of the midst of her! And let everyone deliver himself from the fierce anger of the LORD.

" Up, up! Flee from the land of the north," says the LORD; "for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven," says the LORD.

"Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon."

Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

'Or if a person touches any unclean thing, whether [it is] the carcass of an unclean beast, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and he is unaware of it, he also shall be unclean and guilty.

'Or if he touches human uncleanness -- whatever uncleanness with which a man may be defiled, and he is unaware of it -- when he realizes [it,] then he shall be guilty.

'[The carcass] of any animal which divides the foot, but is not cloven-hoofed or does not chew the cud, [is] unclean to you. Everyone who touches it shall be unclean.

'And whatever goes on its paws, among all kinds of animals that go on [all] fours, those [are] unclean to you. Whoever touches any such carcass shall be unclean until evening.

'For I [am] the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I [am] holy.

'to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.' "

'And whoever touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

'And he who touches the body of him who has the discharge shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

'Any saddle on which he who has the discharge rides shall be unclean.

'And whomever the one who has the discharge touches, and has not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

' And when he who has a discharge is cleansed of his discharge, then he shall count for himself seven days for his cleansing, wash his clothes, and bathe his body in running water; then he shall be clean.

'Then the priest shall offer them, the one [as] a sin offering and the other [as] a burnt offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD because of his discharge.

'And any garment and any leather on which there is semen, it shall be washed with water, and be unclean until evening.

' If a woman has a discharge, [and] the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening.

'Whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

'If [anything] is on [her] bed or on anything on which she sits, when he touches it, he shall be unclean until evening.

' If a woman has a discharge of blood for many days, other than at the time of her [customary] impurity, or if it runs beyond her [usual time of] impurity, all the days of her unclean discharge shall be as the days of her [customary] impurity. She [shall be] unclean.

'Whoever touches those things shall be unclean; he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

'And on the eighth day she shall take for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

' Thus you shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness when they defile My tabernacle that [is] among them.

'and for her who is indisposed because of her [customary] impurity, and for one who has a discharge, either man or woman, and for him who lies with her who is unclean.' "

"And they shall teach My people [the difference] between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

And Haggai said, "If [one who is] unclean [because] of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?" So the priests answered and said, "It shall be unclean."

Then Haggai answered and said, " 'So is this people, and so is this nation before Me,' says the LORD, 'and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean."

Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that [there is] nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him [it is] unclean.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose [them.]

as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, [as] in your ignorance;

because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Beloved, I beg [you] as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

And Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the LORD spoke, saying: 'By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.' " So Aaron held his peace.

"Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name [by] what they dedicate to Me: I [am] the LORD.

'Whatever man of the descendants of Aaron, who [is] a leper or has a discharge, shall not eat the holy offerings until he is clean. And whoever touches anything made unclean [by] a corpse, or a man who has had an emission of semen,

'the person who has touched any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat the holy [offerings] unless he washes his body with water.

'Whatever dies [naturally] or is torn [by beasts] he shall not eat, to defile himself with it: I [am] the LORD.

' No outsider shall eat the holy [offering;] one who dwells with the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat the holy thing.

'If the priest's daughter is married to an outsider, she may not eat of the holy offerings.

' And if a man eats the holy [offering] unintentionally, then he shall restore a holy [offering] to the priest, and add one-fifth to it.

'or allow them to bear the guilt of trespass when they eat their holy [offerings;] for I the LORD sanctify them.' "

"Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: 'Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, who offers his sacrifice for any of his vows or for any of his freewill offerings, which they offer to the LORD as a burnt offering --

'Whatever has a defect, you shall not offer, for it shall not be acceptable on your behalf.

'Those [that are] blind or broken or maimed, or have an ulcer or eczema or scabs, you shall not offer to the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to the LORD.

'You shall not offer to the LORD what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut; nor shall you make [any offering of them] in your land.

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

"[Whether it is] a cow or ewe, do not kill both her and her young on the same day.

"On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave none of it until morning: I [am] the LORD.

"You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I [am] the LORD who sanctifies you,

King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his gods;

This [is] the number of them: thirty gold platters, one thousand silver platters, twenty-nine knives,

All the articles of gold and silver [were] five thousand four hundred. All [these] Sheshbazzar took with the captives who were brought from Babylon to Jerusalem.

and weighed out to them the silver, the gold, and the articles, the offering for the house of our God which the king and his counselors and his princes, and all Israel [who were] present, had offered.

twenty gold basins [worth] a thousand drachmas, and two vessels of fine polished bronze, precious as gold.

"Watch and keep [them] until you weigh [them] before the leaders of the priests and the Levites and heads of the fathers' [houses] of Israel in Jerusalem, [in] the chambers of the house of the LORD."
