Depart! Depart! Go out from there, Touch no unclean [thing;] Go out from the midst of her, Be clean, You who bear the vessels of the LORD.

" Move from the midst of Babylon, Go out of the land of the Chaldeans; And be like the rams before the flocks.

Flee from the midst of Babylon, And every one save his life! Do not be cut off in her iniquity, For this [is] the time of the LORD's vengeance; He shall recompense her.

" My people, go out of the midst of her! And let everyone deliver himself from the fierce anger of the LORD.

" Up, up! Flee from the land of the north," says the LORD; "for I have spread you abroad like the four winds of heaven," says the LORD.

"Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon."

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

And in that day you will say: "O LORD, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; [God] will appoint salvation [for] walls and bulwarks.

"Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I [am] God, and [there is] no other.

I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth [in] righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath.

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.

Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!

The LORD [is] a man of war; The LORD [is] His name.

The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone.

And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble.

The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.'

"Who [is] like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who [is] like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided [them] in Your strength To Your holy habitation.

Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, Trembling will take hold of them; All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away.

You will bring them in and plant them In the mountain of Your inheritance, [In] the place, O LORD, [which] You have made For Your own dwelling, The sanctuary, O LORD, [which] Your hands have established.

For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry [land] in the midst of the sea.

And Miriam answered them: "Sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!"

'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and [how] I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself.

'And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These [are] the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.

Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of the LORD -- For wheat and new wine and oil, For the young of the flock and the herd; Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, And they shall sorrow no more at all.

"Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.

Then the heavens and the earth and all that [is] in them Shall sing joyously over Babylon; For the plunderers shall come to her from the north," says the LORD.

"Rejoice over her, O heaven, and [you] holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!"

After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power [belong] to the Lord our God!

Again they said, "Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!"

Then a voice came from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!"

"You have heard; See all this. And will you not declare [it?] I have made you hear new things from this time, Even hidden things, and you did not know them.

"And who [is] like Your people, like Israel, the one nation on the earth whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make for Himself a name -- and to do for Yourself great and awesome deeds for Your land -- before Your people whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, the nations, and their gods?

" Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, And declare [it] in the isles afar off, and say, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd [does] his flock.'

"Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; Proclaim -- do not conceal [it -- Say,] 'Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, Her images are broken in pieces.'
