Who among you will give ear to this? [Who] will listen and hear for the time to come?

" Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors.

Remember the former things of old, For I [am] God, and [there is] no other; [I am] God, and [there is] none like Me,

" Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,

"Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.

"Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.

"Then it shall be, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for I know the inclination of their behavior today, even before I have brought them to the land of which I swore [to give them."]

Of the Rock [who] begot you, you are unmindful, And have forgotten the God who fathered you.

"Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, And Israel whom I have chosen.

Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, [who] will help you: 'Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

" But you, Israel, [are] My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend.

[You] whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, 'You [are] My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called [you] by your name; You [are] Mine.

Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him."

I [am] the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King."

"Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

See, I have inscribed you on the palms [of My hands;] Your walls [are] continually before Me.

Concerning the gospel [they are] enemies for your sake, but concerning the election [they are] beloved for the sake of the fathers.

For the gifts and the calling of God [are] irrevocable.
