"Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning; when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it.

"Also take for yourself quality spices -- five hundred [shekels] of liquid myrrh, half as much sweet-smelling cinnamon (two hundred and fifty [shekels),] two hundred and fifty [shekels] of sweet-smelling cane,

"five hundred [shekels] of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil.

And the LORD said to Moses: "Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, and pure frankincense with [these] sweet spices; there shall be equal amounts of each.

For what purpose to Me Comes frankincense from Sheba, And sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings [are] not acceptable, Nor your sacrifices sweet to Me."

'and the priest shall burn them on the altar [as] food, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma; all the fat [is] the LORD's.

'He shall remove all its fat, as fat is removed from the sacrifice of the peace offering; and the priest shall burn it on the altar for a sweet aroma to the LORD. So the priest shall make atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

I will not take a bull from your house, [Nor] goats out of your folds.

I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field [are] Mine.

Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?

Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing [them.]

Therefore the Lord says, The LORD of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, "Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries, And take vengeance on My enemies.

Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! [Is it] a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?

But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, [And] He fought against them.

For forty years I was grieved with [that] generation, And said, 'It [is] a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.'

"Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations.

"Because you did not remember the days of your youth, but agitated Me with all these [things,] surely I will also recompense your deeds on [your own] head," says the Lord GOD. "And you shall not commit lewdness in addition to all your abominations.

" Behold, I am weighed down by you, As a cart full of sheaves is weighed down.

"But cursed [be] the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished -- For I [am] a great King," Says the LORD of hosts, "And My name [is to be] feared among the nations.

And this is the second thing you do: You cover the altar of the LORD with tears, With weeping and crying; So He does not regard the offering anymore, Nor receive [it] with goodwill from your hands.

But did He not make [them] one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.

You have wearied the LORD with your words; Yet you say, "In what way have we wearied [Him?"] In that you say, "Everyone who does evil [Is] good in the sight of the LORD, And He delights in them," Or, "Where [is] the God of justice?"
