The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The LORD alone will be exalted in that day,

People shall be brought down, Each man shall be humbled, And the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled.

But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, And God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness.

"I will punish the world for [its] evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

It shall come to pass in that day [That] the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.

Then adorn yourself [with] majesty and splendor, and array yourself with glory and beauty.

Look on everyone [who is] proud, [and] bring him low; Tread down the wicked in their place.

For You will save the humble people, But will bring down haughty looks.

"Behold, I [am] against you, O most haughty one!" says the Lord GOD of hosts; "For your day has come, The time [that] I will punish you.

The most proud shall stumble and fall, And no one will raise him up; I will kindle a fire in his cities, And it will devour all around him."

"For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch.

"I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to [your] elders. Yes, all of [you] be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, And God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness.

And in that day you will say: "Praise the LORD, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted.

But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I [am] the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD.

that no flesh should glory in His presence.

that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."

But "he who glories, let him glory in the LORD."

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, "We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel; Only let us be called by your name, To take away our reproach."

" And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious."

It shall come to pass in that day [That] the LORD shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea.

And in that day you will say: "O LORD, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.

And in that day you will say: "Praise the LORD, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted.

It shall come to pass in that day [That] the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones, And on the earth the kings of the earth.

And it will be said in that day: "Behold, this [is] our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This [is] the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; [God] will appoint salvation [for] walls and bulwarks.

In that day the LORD with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that [is] in the sea.

In that day sing to her, "A vineyard of red wine!

And it shall come to pass in that day [That] the LORD will thresh, From the channel of the River to the Brook of Egypt; And you will be gathered one by one, O you children of Israel.

So it shall be in that day: The great trumpet will be blown; They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria, And they who are outcasts in the land of Egypt, And shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

In that day the LORD of hosts will be For a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty To the remnant of His people,

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

Then He will give the rain for your seed With which you sow the ground, And bread of the increase of the earth; It will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed In large pastures.

Therefore My people shall know My name; Therefore [they shall know] in that day That I [am] He who speaks: 'Behold, [it is] I.' "

Alas! For that day [is] great, So that none [is] like it; And it [is] the time of Jacob's trouble, But he shall be saved out of it.

'For it shall come to pass in that day,' Says the LORD of hosts, '[That] I will break his yoke from your neck, And will burst your bonds; Foreigners shall no more enslave them.

" Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know [it?]

"For in My jealousy [and] in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: 'Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel,

" It will come to pass in that day [that] I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call [it] the Valley of Hamon Gog.

"So the house of Israel shall know that I [am] the LORD their God from that day forward.

"And it shall be, in that day," Says the LORD, "[That] you will call Me 'My Husband,' And no longer call Me 'My Master,'

In that day I will make a covenant for them With the beasts of the field, With the birds of the air, And [with] the creeping things of the ground. Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, To make them lie down safely.

" It shall come to pass in that day [That] I will answer," says the LORD; "I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth.

And it will come to pass in that day [That] the mountains shall drip with new wine, The hills shall flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the LORD And water the Valley of Acacias.

" On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old;

"Will I not in that day," says the LORD, "Even destroy the wise [men] from Edom, And understanding from the mountains of Esau?

" In that day," says the LORD, "I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast And those whom I have afflicted;

" And it shall be in that day," says the LORD, "That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots.

[In] the day when your walls are to be built, [In] that day the decree shall go far and wide.

[In] that day they shall come to you From Assyria and the fortified cities, From the fortress to the River, From sea to sea, And mountain [to] mountain.

In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds In which you transgress against Me; For then I will take away from your midst Those who rejoice in your pride, And you shall no longer be haughty In My holy mountain.

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: "Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak.

The LORD their God will save them in that day, As the flock of His people. For they [shall be like] the jewels of a crown, Lifted like a banner over His land --
