Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness.

The wise man's eyes [are] in his head, But the fool walks in darkness. Yet I myself perceived That the same event happens to them all.

These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is [rightly] judged by no one.

And they said to him, "We each have had a dream, and [there is] no interpreter of it." So Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell [them] to me, please."

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I have had a dream, and [there is] no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you [that] you can understand a dream, to interpret it."

So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, "[It is] not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace."

And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find [such a one] as this, a man in whom [is] the Spirit of God?"

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, [there is] no one as discerning and wise as you.

" If there is a messenger for him, A mediator, one among a thousand, To show man His uprightness,

To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles.

"But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:

"But as for me, this secret has not been revealed to me because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but for [our] sakes who make known the interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.

"This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise [men] of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you [are] able, for the Spirit of the Holy God [is] in you."

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for a time, and his thoughts troubled him. [So] the king spoke, and said, "Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation trouble you." Belteshazzar answered and said, "My lord, [may] the dream concern those who hate you, and its interpretation concern your enemies!

knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,

Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony [were] in Moses' hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.

So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.

She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you."

Wisdom [is] in the sight of him who has understanding, But the eyes of a fool [are] on the ends of the earth.

A wise man [is] strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;

and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.

"a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

"Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and [that] all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
