He treated Abram well for her sake. He had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants, female donkeys, and camels.

Abram [was] very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.

Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents.

And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram's livestock and the herdsmen of Lot's livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land.

Now Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour, sixty kors of meal,

ten fatted oxen, twenty oxen from the pastures, and one hundred sheep, besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fatted fowl.

Then King Solomon raised up a labor force out of all Israel; and the labor force was thirty thousand men.

Solomon had seventy thousand who carried burdens, and eighty thousand who quarried [stone] in the mountains,

And at my table [were] one hundred and fifty Jews and rulers, besides those who came to us from the nations around us.

Now [that] which was prepared daily [was] one ox [and] six choice sheep. Also fowl were prepared for me, and once every ten days an abundance of all kinds of wine. Yet in spite of this I did not demand the governor's provisions, because the bondage was heavy on this people.

Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness.

Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, [And] revive me in Your way.

Better [is] the sight of the eyes than the wandering of desire. This also [is] vanity and grasping for the wind.

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment.

"When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it."

And they took them from the midst of the tent, brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.

And Joshua said, "Why have you troubled us? The LORD will trouble you this day." So all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.

Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For [riches] certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle [toward] heaven.

" [As] a partridge that broods but does not hatch, [So is] he who gets riches, but not by right; It will leave him in the midst of his days, And at his end he will be a fool."

Behold, [is it] not of the LORD of hosts That the peoples labor to feed the fire, And nations weary themselves in vain?

For all that [is] in the world -- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life -- is not of the Father but is of the world.
