The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.

There are three [things which] are too wonderful for me, Yes, four [which] I do not understand:

For three [things] the earth is perturbed, Yes, for four it cannot bear up:

There are four [things which] are little on the earth, But they [are] exceedingly wise:

There are three [things which] are majestic in pace, Yes, four [which] are stately in walk:

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because they have threshed Gilead with implements of iron.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because they took captive the whole captivity To deliver [them] up to Edom.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, And did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because he pursued his brother with the sword, And cast off all pity; His anger tore perpetually, And he kept his wrath forever.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because he burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because they have despised the law of the LORD, And have not kept His commandments. Their lies lead them astray, [Lies] which their fathers followed.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its [punishment,] Because they sell the righteous for silver, And the poor for a pair of sandals.

For the perverse [person is] an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel [is] with the upright.

Dishonest scales [are] an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight [is] His delight.

Those who are of a perverse heart [are] an abomination to the LORD, But [the] blameless in their ways [are] His delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright [is] His delight.

The way of the wicked [is] an abomination to the LORD, But He loves him who follows righteousness.

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike [are] an abomination to the LORD.

Diverse weights [and] diverse measures, They [are] both alike, an abomination to the LORD.

Diverse weights [are] an abomination to the LORD, And dishonest scales [are] not good.

"There shall not be found among you [anyone] who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, [or one] who practices witchcraft, [or] a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

"For all who do these things [are] an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you.

"You shall not bring the wages of a harlot or the price of a dog to the house of the LORD your God for any vowed offering, for both of these [are] an abomination to the LORD your God.

"[then] her former husband who divorced her must not take her back to be his wife after she has been defiled; for that [is] an abomination before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God is giving you [as] an inheritance.

"For all who do such things, all who behave unrighteously, [are] an abomination to the LORD your God.

But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
