My son, eat honey because [it is] good, And the honeycomb [which is] sweet to your taste;

So [shall] the knowledge of wisdom [be] to your soul; If you have found [it,] there is a prospect, And your hope will not be cut off.

After some time, when he returned to get her, he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion. And behold, a swarm of bees and honey [were] in the carcass of the lion.

He took some of it in his hands and went along, eating. When he came to his father and mother, he gave [some] to them, and they also ate. But he did not tell them that he had taken the honey out of the carcass of the lion.

Now all [the people] of the land came to a forest; and there was honey on the ground.

But Jonathan had not heard his father charge the people with the oath; therefore he stretched out the end of the rod that [was] in his hand and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his countenance brightened.

"Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.

So it shall be, from the abundance of milk they give, That he will eat curds; For curds and honey everyone will eat who is left in the land.

[It is] not good to eat much honey; So to seek one's own glory [is not] glory.

The morsel you have eaten, you will vomit up, And waste your pleasant words.

" But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
