In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips [is] wise.

The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil.

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he [is] a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

[He who is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

Words of the wise, [spoken] quietly, [should be] heard Rather than the shout of a ruler of fools.

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
