You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.

A fool's lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for blows.

A fool's mouth [is] his destruction, And his lips [are] the snare of his soul.

Then King Solomon swore by the LORD, saying, "May God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah has not spoken this word against his own life!

The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead.

The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."

But David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, "[As] the LORD lives, who has redeemed my life from all adversity,

Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

[It is] good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [Shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

[then] the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
