Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.

The labor of the righteous [leads] to life, The wages of the wicked to sin.

In the way of righteousness [is] life, And in [its] pathway [there is] no death.

The fear of the LORD [leads] to life, And [he who has it] will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.

"But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor [is] he who does not love his brother.

For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.

But they lie in wait for their [own] blood, They lurk secretly for their [own] lives.

Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,

Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it [would cost] his life.

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death."

but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness -- indignation and wrath,

tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;
