They would have none of my counsel [And] despised my every rebuke.

But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, till [there was] no remedy.

And say: "How I have hated instruction, And my heart despised correction!

Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction [is] stupid.

"But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would [have] none of Me.
