How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?

So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, "Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

And the LORD said to Moses, "How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?

"How long [shall I bear with] this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me.

Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me."

And saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man devoid of understanding,

"Whoever [is] simple, let him turn in here!" [As for] him who lacks understanding, she says to him,

Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding.

"Whoever [is] simple, let him turn in here"; And [as for] him who lacks understanding, she says to him,

But he does not know that the dead [are] there, [That] her guests [are] in the depths of hell.

Understand, you senseless among the people; And [you] fools, when will you be wise?

"But go and learn what [this] means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

"For My yoke [is] easy and My burden is light."

" O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under [her] wings, but you were not willing!

saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things [that make] for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not [find it,] But knowledge [is] easy to him who understands.

A scoffer does not love one who corrects him, Nor will he go to the wise.

Judgments are prepared for scoffers, And beatings for the backs of fools.

When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise; But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

What man [is] like Job, [Who] drinks scorn like water,

Blessed [is] the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,

The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge, [But] fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD,

And say: "How I have hated instruction, And my heart despised correction!

"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
