Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged [them.]

"If you afflict them in any way, [and] they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry;

So Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben; for she said, "The LORD has surely looked on my affliction. Now therefore, my husband will love me."

"Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to me."

For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.

I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard [him,] And saved him out of all his troubles.

Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry;

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all [points] tempted as [we are, yet] without sin.

Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses.

"I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know."

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk They have secretly set a snare for me.
