" And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it. Two-tenths [of an ephah] shall be in each cake.

"You shall set them in two rows, six in a row, on the pure [gold] table before the LORD.

"On the table of showbread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the pans, the bowls, and the pitchers for pouring; and the showbread shall be on it.

So the priest gave him holy [bread;] for there was no bread there but the showbread which had been taken from before the LORD, in order to put hot bread [in its place] on the day when it was taken away.

And some of their brethren of the sons of the Kohathites [were] in charge of preparing the showbread for every Sabbath.

"And they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense; [they] also [set] the showbread [in order on] the pure [gold] table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps to burn every evening; for we keep the command of the LORD our God, but you have forsaken Him.

"[You] offer defiled food on My altar. But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the LORD is contemptible.'

"But you profane it, In that you say, 'The table of the LORD is defiled; And its fruit, its food, [is] contemptible.'

"how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
