Do not slay them, lest my people forget; Scatter them by Your power, And bring them down, O Lord our shield.

Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.

'According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, [namely] forty years, and you shall know My rejection.

'I the LORD have spoken this; I will surely do so to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.' "

"So the LORD's anger was aroused against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the LORD was gone.

"And the time we took to come from Kadesh Barnea until we crossed over the Valley of the Zered [was] thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war was consumed from the midst of the camp, just as the LORD had sworn to them.

" So it was, when all the men of war had finally perished from among the people,

"And the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become [too] numerous for you.

"But the LORD your God will deliver them over to you, and will inflict defeat upon them until they are destroyed.

Be still, and know that I [am] God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

The LORD of hosts [is] with us; The God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah

That they may know that You, whose name alone [is] the LORD, [Are] the Most High over all the earth.

For I know that the LORD [is] great, And our Lord [is] above all gods.

Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth, In the seas and in all deep places.

"This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

"Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle [is] the LORD's, and He will give you into our hands."

And it came to pass, at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, "LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You [are] God in Israel and I [am] Your servant, and [that] I have done all these things at Your word.

"Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You [are] the LORD God, and [that] You have turned their hearts back [to You] again."

"Now therefore, O LORD our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You [are] the LORD God, You alone."

For your Maker [is] your husband, The LORD of hosts [is] His name; And your Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

"Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I [am] the LORD." '

"So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not [let them] profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that [I am] the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.
