When they went from one nation to another, From [one] kingdom to another people,

He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes,

The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Now Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys at the command of the LORD. And these [are] their journeys according to their starting points:

For the Egyptians were burying all [their] firstborn, whom the LORD had killed among them. Also on their gods the LORD had executed judgments.

They departed from Succoth and camped at Etham, which [is] on the edge of the wilderness.

They departed from before Hahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, went three days' journey in the Wilderness of Etham, and camped at Marah.

They moved from Elim and camped by the Red Sea.

They journeyed from the Wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

They moved from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

They moved from the Wilderness of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah.

They departed from Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.

They departed from Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.

They journeyed from Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.

They moved from Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

They moved from Makheloth and camped at Tahath.

They moved from Terah and camped at Mithkah.

They departed from Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.

They moved from Bene Jaakan and camped at Hor Hagidgad.

They moved from Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

They moved from Ezion Geber and camped in the Wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh.

Then Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at the command of the LORD, and died there in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first [day] of the fifth month.

Now the king of Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

They departed from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

They departed from Oboth and camped at Ije Abarim, at the border of Moab.

They moved from Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.

They departed from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [across from] Jericho.

Now the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [across from] Jericho, saying,

'then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their engraved stones, destroy all their molded images, and demolish all their high places;

'And you shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families; to the larger you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance; there everyone's [inheritance] shall be whatever falls to him by lot. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.

'Moreover it shall be [that] I will do to you as I thought to do to them.' "

So David fled and escaped, and went to Samuel at Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and stayed in Naioth.

David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. And when his brothers and all his father's house heard [it,] they went down there to him.

Then David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab, "Please let my father and mother come here with you, till I know what God will do for me."

Now the prophet Gad said to David, "Do not stay in the stronghold; depart, and go to the land of Judah." So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth.

And David said in his heart, "Now I shall perish someday by the hand of Saul. [There is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape to the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me anymore in any part of Israel. So I shall escape out of his hand."

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

[in] journeys often, [in] perils of waters, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils of [my own] countrymen, [in] perils of the Gentiles, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brethren;

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced [them] and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, [in] dens and caves of the earth.

"Hear my prayer, O LORD, And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; For I [am] a stranger with You, A sojourner, as all my fathers [were.]

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves [with him.]

"Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD.

My friends scorn me; My eyes pour out [tears] to God.

"for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When [as yet there were] none of them.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard [them;] So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name.

"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is [the Book] of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
