My God of mercy shall come to meet me; God shall let me see [my desire] on my enemies.

But as for me, my prayer [is] to You, O LORD, [in] the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.

Let not the floodwater overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth on me.

To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn, For His mercy [endures] forever;

Let them not say in their hearts, "Ah, so we would have it!" Let them not say, "We have swallowed him up."

He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan, And covered the faction of Abiram.

Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us;

Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, And whole, like those who go down to the Pit;

The Lord has swallowed up and has not pitied All the dwelling places of Jacob. He has thrown down in His wrath The strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He has brought [them] down to the ground; He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.

The Lord was like an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel, He has swallowed up all her palaces; He has destroyed her strongholds, And has increased mourning and lamentation In the daughter of Judah.

All your enemies have opened their mouth against you; They hiss and gnash [their] teeth. They say, "We have swallowed [her] up! Surely this [is] the day we have waited for; We have found [it,] we have seen [it!"]

Israel is swallowed up; Now they are among the Gentiles Like a vessel in which [is] no pleasure.

So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
