Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, [And] established my steps.

In [their] hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up.

The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all [who are] bowed down.

For a righteous [man] may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD [will be] a light to me.

Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, "Behold, this [Child] is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against

And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift [you] as wheat.

"But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to [Me,] strengthen your brethren."

But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are saying!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.

So Peter went out and wept bitterly.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the LORD upholds the righteous.

The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all [who are] bowed down.

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

"My Father, who has given [them] to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of My Father's hand.
