Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? [Why] do You hide in times of trouble?

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

Consider [and] hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

[This] You have seen, O LORD; Do not keep silence. O Lord, do not be far from me.

Do not forsake me, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me!

To the Chief Musician. Set to "The Lilies." A Psalm of David. Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to [my] neck.

I sink in deep mire, Where [there is] no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me.

Draw near to my soul, [and] redeem it; Deliver me because of my enemies.

O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!

"Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and [him] who has no helper.

Look on [my] right hand and see, For [there is] no one who acknowledges me; Refuge has failed me; No one cares for my soul.

Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I.

"For the LORD will judge His people And have compassion on His servants, When He sees that [their] power is gone, And [there is] no one [remaining,] bond or free.

"But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

But again he denied with an oath, "I do not know the Man!"

Then he began to curse and swear, [saying,] "I do not know the Man!" Immediately a rooster crowed.
