For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as [with] a shield.

The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Happy [are] you, O Israel! Who [is] like you, a people saved by the LORD, The shield of your help And the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And you shall tread down their high places."

"You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great.

Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust [in You] From those who rise up [against them.]

Gird Your sword upon [Your] thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty.

And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, [and] righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things.

He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry [them] in His bosom, [And] gently lead those who are with young.

All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar.

Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ -- who in presence [am] lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
