The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright [is] His delight.

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct [it] to You, And I will look up.

"Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning; when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it.

"You shall not offer strange incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering; nor shall you pour a drink offering on it.

And the LORD said to Moses: "Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, and pure frankincense with [these] sweet spices; there shall be equal amounts of each.

"And you shall beat [some] of it very fine, and put some of it before the Testimony in the tabernacle of meeting where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.

"Whoever makes [any] like it, to smell it, he shall be cut off from his people."

Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them.

So fire went out from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

" And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which [is] for himself.

"And he shall put the incense on the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that [is] on the Testimony, lest he die.

And a fire came out from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense.

So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar, put incense [on it,] and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the LORD. The plague has begun."

And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped.

For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name [shall be] great among the Gentiles; In every place incense [shall be] offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations," Says the LORD of hosts.

according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer [it] with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand.

Hear the voice of my supplications When I cry to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.

Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

Lift up your hands [in] the sanctuary, And bless the LORD.

I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

"One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight.

"[This shall be] a continual burnt offering throughout your generations [at] the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.

And it came to pass, at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, "LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You [are] God in Israel and I [am] Your servant, and [that] I have done all these things at Your word.

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel assembled to me, because of the transgression of those who had been carried away captive, and I sat astonished until the evening sacrifice.

yes, while I [was] speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth [hour.]
