Your hands have made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.

The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do [His commandments.] His praise endures forever.

And to man He said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom, And to depart from evil [is] understanding.' "

Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth [come] knowledge and understanding;

"If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or [whether] I speak on My own [authority.]

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Who [is] wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct [that] his works [are done] in the meekness of wisdom.

This wisdom does not descend from above, but [is] earthly, sensual, demonic.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

"Therefore be careful to observe [them;] for this [is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, 'Surely this great nation [is] a wise and understanding people.'

"Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches [them,] he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

" Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues [in it,] and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

If you really fulfill [the] royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one [point,] he is guilty of all.

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!

I entreated Your favor with [my] whole heart; Be merciful to me according to Your word.

The proud have forged a lie against me, [But] I will keep Your precepts with [my] whole heart.
